I’ve had five different CPAs over the past three decades. My biggest complaint applies to all … they were not proactively engaged in assisting me through day to day and strategic business direction decisions. They were transactional. I would have benefited from strategic review and engagement of financial reports they each provided. I kept thinking, perhaps I'm expecting too much from my CPA. Is there someone else?
So what do I bring?
I bring experience and understanding of other areas of business directly affected by decisions where financial reporting and data are critical components to greater economies, efficiencies and growth.
I am not a consultant, although some of what we do together may be consultant-like. I won't show up, make recommendations, then leave you alone. I'll ask the tough questions when needed. You and I will come up with recommendations together. We’ll define targets and performance indicators. We’ll review progress. Together, we’ll engage the financials with accountability.
